Cancun, Q.R. — A woman was killed Tuesday morning in a traffic accident after her car flipped onto its roof. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. while she was traveling along José López Portillo Avenue.
Witnesses told police the car was speeding along the street when the driver hit a post and flipped several times before coming to a stop in the middle of the street.
Police found the silver Nissan Tida on its roof. The driver was found outside the vehicle laying on the street beside the car.
A section of the road was closed while authorities investigated the accident and waited for the removal of the body.
