Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun city worker was killed after being hit by a public transport van on Monday. The nighttime accident happened on Chac Mool Avenue when the worker was struck by the van.
The unidentified city worker was clearing out for the day after working on a new bike lane. While doing so, he was struck by the public combi. An ambulance was called, however, the man was pronounced on scene.
After striking the worker, the driver of the Turicun transport van slammed into a concrete CFE post and allegedly tried to flee the scene, however, witnesses held him for police.
