Cancun, Q.R. — Two Cancun children who were abducted by their father have been returned to their mother. The children were reunited with their mother Wednesday after a two-month investigation into their abduction.
Mother, Monika “S” from the Czech Republic, detailed that on September 12, her former partner, who is of Mexican nationality, had sent her for groceries. When she returned to their Cancun home, the house was empty.
“Thanks to the Governor and the Prosecutor I can be with my children today. I want to thank all those people who supported me in this process,” said Monika “S”.
In a press release, the State Attorney General’s Office also noted that the Deputy Prosecutor for Internal Affairs began an investigation into the alleged request for money that was made to Monkia “S” for the issuance of the missing children Amber Alerts, reiterating the Attorney General, Óscar Montes de Oca, will not tolerate acts of corruption.
