Cancun, Q.R. — A CFE worker died Thursday after being electrocuted while working on a company manhole. The accident happened in SM 311 while he was performing routine maintenance.
The Federal Electricity Commission employee was thrown several meters from the hole onto the street where he was found laying unconsciousness by coworkers. Medical personnel were called, but only pronounced the man dead.
The accident happened on a section of Prolongación La Luna Avenue in Cancun Thursday morning. The worker was found with extensive burns on his body. Ministerial Police had the area closed off while the body was removed.
