Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen were called to the scene of a carpentry shop blaze Friday. The dry wood located on inside the shop was fully engulfed by the time firemen arrived.

The fire happened Friday afternoon on a private property in SM 236. Civil Protection and members of the Cancun fire department were able to put it out before it spread to neighboring properties.
Bomberos Cancun reported no injuries. An official cause as to what started the fire remains in the hands of Civil Protection.
Regarding the Friday fire, Bomberos Cancun said “Carpentry Shop fire controlled. The Cancun Fire Department, in coordination with Cancun Civil Protection personnel, responded to a report of a fire at a property used as a carpentry shop in Superblock 236.
“Thanks to the rapid response of our emergency teams, the fire was contained and extinguished, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

“We reiterate our commitment to community safety and remind everyone of the importance of checking electrical installations and implementing preventive measures in workshops and businesses. Together, we build a safer community!”
