Cancun, Q.R. — One of two brothers shot Sunday died on scene while the second remains in hospital. The two men, who have been identified as 28-year-old Raul N and 22-year-old Jhonathan N, were gunned down while out running an errand for their mother.
Local authorities responding to the 1:49 p.m. report of the shooting in region 107 arrived to find the 28-year-old dead. His younger brother was transferred to hospital in serious condition.
Police in Cancun have not provided any details regarding a possible motive for the shooting. Witnesses have said that the pair were approached by men on a motorcycle who began shooting at them.
It was area residents who made the emergency report to 911.
