Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office proceeded to shut a Cancun bar after receiving a report of armed people inside. The now-closed bar is located in SM 95.
Along with the establishment closure, the Attorney General reported the arrest of 39 people (21 women and 18 men) for their probable participation in drug dealing and criminal association, among others.
During the development of the operation, some people managed to flee after detonating a firearm. One of the detainees, who has since been officially arrested, was found injured by a bullet.
At the scene, various doses of narcotics were seized as well as different caliber bullets, an armored truck, a BMW vehicle and a Jeep.
Derived from an ongoing investigation, it was learned that some of the people arrested from inside are related to other criminal events that occurred in Cancun.
