Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun authorities are treating the Tuesday death of a Colombian woman as a suicide. The woman’s dead body was found inside an apartment of Residencial Puerto Cancún Tuesday morning.
Police were alerted to the discovery of her body around 11:00 a.m. The deceased woman has been identified as Daniela “N” from Colombia. Details surrounding the finding are not known.
In a brief statement, the State Attorney General (FGE) reported an open investigation into the death, which is being treated as a suicide.
“The FGE reports that it opened an investigation to clarify the death of a woman of Colombian origin, identified as Daniela “N”, in a property located in Residencial Puerto Cancún.
“The first acts of investigation indicate that this event could be a suicide.”
