Cancun, Q.R. — A Canadian pedestrian who was hit by a car Sunday in the Cancun Hotel Zone continues to recover. The accident happened at kilometer nine of Kukulcán Boulevard when a woman was hit by a car crossing the road.
The woman, Dani “A”, was hit by a private vehicle being driven by Cristian “N” around 11:30 a.m. The woman was projected several meters forward and thrown to the ground where she was attended to by witnesses. Emergency services were notified and an ambulance sent in response.
Tourist Police from the Cancun Hotel Zone arrived to flag traffic while paramedics transferred the injured woman to the emergency room of a private clinic. The vehicle involved was towed from the scene.
The woman was found laying on the road several meters from a marked crosswalk. Tourist Police did not comment on possible charges. The severity of the woman’s injuries are unknown.
