Busy Cancun roundabout site for early morning car crash

Cancun, Q. R. — A four car crash Monday morning on Cancun’s busy Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard left only crumpled metal and minor injuries. Several vehicles attempting to join one of the city’s main roundabouts at high speed caused a chain reaction of rear ends.

It was around 10:00 a.m. when traffic police made it to the scene, locating four crumpled cars and some bruised drivers. According to preliminary information, a white car entered the roundabout and was hit by a passenger transport van.

The impact was enough to turn the van around leaving it facing the opposite direction. Two more cars, a private car and an Isla Mujeres taxi that were unable to avoid the crunched vehicles, also became involved.

Paramedics treated the injured on site since they only had minor scrapes and bruises.
