Cancun, Q.R. — The body of a woman was found in a green area of the Gran Santa Fe subdivision of Cancun Tuesday. The afternoon discovery was reported to local authorities who went to the Roble Street location to verify the finding.
Municipal officers alerted the FGE after finding the mutilated body of an adult woman. She was found wrapped in a sheet that was then wrapped in a blanket and left in the woods.
She had been decapitated and her limbs mutilated. The body was removed from the scene and transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) office for an official autopsy while police investigate her death and attempt to identify the body.
