Cancun, Q.R. — The body of a man was discovered by passersby in a Cancun lagoon. The couple were at the lagoon to take photos when they made the grisly discovery.
Their finding was called into Emergency 911 around 3:10 p.m. The body was found clothed and floating in a state of decomposition in lagoon waters. Emergency services sent police to the ABC lagoon in the El Pedregal neighborhood in the greater Cancun area where they located the remains.
Municipal Police from homicide arrived to initiate the corresponding investigations. Civil protection personnel also arrived to remove the body from the lagoon for transfer to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for autopsy.
