Cancun, Q.R. — The body of an adult male has been pulled from a Cancun lagoon. The body was discovered by passersby over the weekend in a lagoon of the Santa Cecilia area of Cancun. Police and forensic medical personnel responded to the call of the discovery of the body.
The unidentified man, who is deemed to be around 55 years of age, was removed from the lagoon. Officials say they believe the body had been in the water for approximately three days before it was found.
Authorities say the body showed traces of injuries. An investigation has been opened to determine of the man drowned and received his injuries from falling or if they are dealing with a homicide.
