Body of Cancun taxi driver found dumped with threat message

Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun taxi driver who was found dead on a dirt road was also found with a threat message. On Tuesday, the body of a 42-year-old Cancun taxi driver was located on a dirt road in the Los Corales subdivision of the city.

On top of his body was a threat message believed left behind by those responsible for his death. The taxi driver, Concepción “N”, was found dead at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday by a passerby.

The area resident notified emergency 911 of the finding, reporting the body of dead man laying on a public road near a park. When Municipal Police arrived, they confirmed the dead body and a white cardboard note with a threat message.

According to preliminary reports, it is believed the the taxi driver was not killed there, but that his body was dumped at the site already dead since he was found with extensive bruising.

The now-deceased taxi driver, who was originally from Tabasco, was found still in his Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Driver’s Union uniform. His unit was located only a few meters from his body.
