Cancun, Q. R. — The body of a man was found Sunday afternoon inside what authorities believe, was a criminal safe house in Cancun. Details leading up to the discovery of the house and the body are limited. Authorities have only said the body was found after investigative work by homicide police.
Elements of the Quintana Roo Police, Ministerial Agents and criminal experts from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived at the house around 5:00 p.m. in SM 51.
Inside, they located the body of a man who presented signs of violence. The unidentified man is believed to have been a kidnapping victim. His body was transferred to Forensics for an autopsy.
