Cancun, Q.R. — Skeletal remains were found during a weekend search for missing persons. On Saturday, authorities coordinated a search in a green area of the Nuevo Amanecer neighborhood of Cancun.
While at the site, personnel from the Anthropology and Archeology areas of the FGE located skeletal remains. During their continued dig, they also located an accessory. The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) did not say what that accessory was.
The evidence collected was safeguarded by FGE personnel for its preservation and identification.
The FGE did not say why the area of the Nuevo Amanecer neighborhood of Cancun was targeted for the dig.
