Cancun, Q.R. — Several men were detained Wednesday after Cancun police searched a Hotel Zone construction site. Police went to the site in relation to four missing men after their families filed official missing person’s reports.
Police were seen at the construction site around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Kilometer 26 of the Cancun Hotel Zone. Ministerial Police, criminal experts, municipal police and elements of the National Guard took part in the operation.
Authorities remained on site for more than two hours, finally leaving around 1:30 p.m. with four construction workers. Police did not clarify if the four detained were for informative purposes or believed related to the disappearance of the men.
