Cancun, Q.R. — A group of 10 people have been jailed from the Cancun Hotel Zone on drug and firearm charges. Cancun police were alerted to the group Saturday while touring Kukulkan Boulevard.
At kilometer 25 of the Cancun Hotel Zone, they received an alert from an individual who said that while at the beach, he was attacked by a member of the group for refusing to buy their drugs.
Police proceeded to look for the group, who they located at Kilometer 19.5. There, they were seen selling bags of narcotics in exchange for cash to other people. A personal inspection revealed 101 bags of drugs as well as a firearm and loaded magazine with .9 mm caliber cartridges.
