Cancun, Q.R. — An afternoon rain caused several accidents in and around the city of Cancun Monday. Firemen were at the scene of one vehicle rollover in the city around 11:30 a.m. near Plaza las Américas.

Emergency personnel arrived to find the vehicle laying on its side leaking fluids onto the avenue. The driver was found with only minor injuries after overturning his vehicle along Tulum Avenue.
Wet roads and speed have been the said cause of the 55 year old male driver losing control. Municipal Transit directed traffic around the area while firemen dealt with the fluid leak and busted side window. At least five accidents were reported around the city with the arrival of the rain Monday.
In a brief statement, Bomberos Cancún said, “our Cancun Fire Department team went to the area around Tulum Avenue to provide support in cleaning up spilled fluids after an incident with an overturned Jeep.
“Thanks to the prompt response and coordinated work, the risk on the road was mitigated and the safety of motorists was guaranteed.

“We thank the citizens for their patience and collaboration during the work. Remember, prevention is everyone’s job!”
