Cancun, Q.R. — Surveillance cameras on a public Cancun bus recorded the robbery of its driver and passengers Sunday afternoon. As the bus driver stopped for a lone male along Route 20, he got on and immediately brought out a weapon, demanding cell phones from the driver and passengers.
When the driver of the bus said he did not have a cell phone, the man proceeded to hit him in the head with the gun before walking toward the passengers, grabbing phones as they were offered.
The robbery was recorded at a stop along Rancho Viejo Avenue. The man took the cell phones from bus passengers then got off the bus, instructing the driver to keep going.
The entire incident lasted less than a minute. A formal complaint has been made in the assault.
