Cancun, Q.R. — A Sunday night shooting on a residential street left one dead and two injured in Cancun. Police arrived at an address along 62nd Street after neighbor reports of gunfire around 9:00 p.m.
At the scene they found three people had been shot. Paramedics confirmed one of the shooting victims had died. According to neighbors, he was Eddy “N”, a man they said often walked around armed.
Paramedics transferred the other two shooting victims to hospital. Both are said to be critical.
According to preliminary reports, an armed man approached the victims on foot and fired at them at point-blank range. Witnesses said the gunman then ran toward Leona Vicario Avenue where a white van was waiting for him.
Local police have not commented on the shooting or provided any details including a possible motive.
