Cancun, Q.R. — Store surveillance captured an armed robbery Wednesday night in Cancun. It was around 9:30 p.m. when a lone male entered a woman’s clothing store on Av. López Portillo and threatened the young woman behind the counter.
Within seconds of entering the store, he pulled a handgun from his waist and showed it to her while demanding items. He is seen on security cameras helping himself to items on the counter while she watches. The main item he was after was a set of music speakers.
The speakers were tied together with string. The armed man is seen asking her to cut the speakers free of the string so he could make off with them.
The robbery happened in the Paraíso Maya subdivision of Cancun. The woman, who appears to have been working alone, was not harmed. Cancun authorities have not commented on the robbery.
