Cancun, Q.R. — An armed group of four men and one woman were removed from Cancun streets Wednesday. Members of the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security Quintana Roo arrested Juan Jorge “N”, Francisco “N”, Ricardo Damián “N”, Cristian Patricio “N” and Sandra “N” on drug and firearm charges.
According to the SSP of Benito Juarez, the arrest was made when police were performing a surveillance operation in SM 325 where they saw one of the now-detained handling bags of what appeared to be narcotics.
When carrying out a preventive inspection, the suspects were found in possession of bags of marijuana, five .9-caliber firearms, magazines, additional ammo and cell phones with SIM cards from various companies.
