Cancun, Q.R. — An Argentinian man who was arrested in Cancun in November of 2021 has finally been deported back to his country of origin. In a statement, the FGR of Mexico City said “in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the Republic of Argentina, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), extradited a man of Argentine nationality required by the Office of the Prosecutor for Investigation and Trial of Crimes Related to Human Trafficking and Gender Violence of San Isidro, Province of Buenos Aires, for their probable responsibility in the crime of sexual abuse.”
The man, Raúl “L”, was wanted for several offenses including an allegation of sexually abusing a minor in Beccar, San Isidro district, Province of Buenos Aires.
The FGR requested the District Judge Specialized in the Accusatory Criminal System of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in Mexico City, based in the South Reclusorio, a provisional arrest warrant for extradition purposes against him.
Raúl “L”, was arrested in November 2021 in Cancun but has been held in the Men’s South Preventive Prison in Mexico City since.
His delivery to Argentinian authorities was made at the International Airport of Mexico City (AICM), to the Argentine agents designated for his transfer back to that country.
