Cancun, Q.R. — Area residents in El Porvenir outside Cancun reported the finding of a body Thursday morning. Residents out walking reported the finding at 8:00 a.m. to the C5 Centre after seeing the adult male hidden in overgrowth.
Agents of the Quintana Roo Police arrived with other officials who secured the area. The body was located along a road about four kilometers from the city of Cancun. The man was guessed to be in his 30s. He was reportedly found with at least one blade wound to his head. His identity remains unknown.
City officials from Cancun arrived to transfer the body to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) facilities.
