Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Another week of hot beach weather is likely to stick around for the state of Quintana Roo. On Sunday, partly cloudy skies are forecast for the region with continued daytime temperatures of between 30C (86F) and 35C (95F).

The arrival of a cold front west of the state will create wind gusts for much of the Yucatan Peninsula. Cold Front No 27 is expected to enter Mexican territory Sunday. As it moves south, winds with gusts of between 10 to 25 kms/h are expected in the morning.
As the day wears on, a “Norte” event will increase winds during the afternoon and evening of between 20 to 30 kms/h with gusts of 40 to 60 kms/h across the Yucatan Peninsula.
According to the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN), there is a slight possibility of rain mid-week due to the arrival of cold air, however, the general forecast is for the continuation of hot daytime temperatures and warm nights.
