Cancun, Q.R. — An injured truck driver and substantial material damage was the result of a rollover in the Paseos del Mar subdivision of Cancun Wednesday.
According to data, the driver of the Kenworth was driving on Lakin Avenue in SM 251 when an apparent mechanical failure caused him to lose control. The heavy unit, which was loaded with bricks, ended up on its left side, leaving the roadway impassable.
Paramedics along with personnel from traffic arrived to assess the situation. The driver of the unit was transferred to hospital, while traffic personnel dealt with the scattered construction material and backed up cars. The road was reportedly shut for about an hour while the mess was cleaned and the truck, uprighted and towed.
