AMPI Playa del Carmen swears in new president

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The new president for AMPI Playa del Carmen says her goals for the real estate sector this year includes the strengthening of the Real Estate Law while encouraging real estate agents to become registered, which she says, will provide security and respond to the demands of the market.

Leslie Suaste Ayala, the new head of the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI) for Playa del Carmen for 2020 accepted her position, endorsing her commitment to the real estate sector with informative meetings while increasing the number of legal associates.

During her acceptance speech, Suaste Ayala recognized work in the past administration and urged agents to continue working in unity so that Playa del Carmen can be a reference in the real estate sector nationally and internationally.

The new director for the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) Playa del Carmen comes at a time when the sector continues to face global challenges, especially in the arrival of expatriates who look to invest in Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya with peace of mind.

Suaste Ayala became the new AMPI Playa del Carmen head days before the Quintana Roo Investment Summit 2020 Real Estate Expo is set to take place. The summit, which begins Wednesday, will include AMPI board of directors from the state’s branches of Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Chetumal.

The event, which is being held at the Cancun Convention Center, will include the Secretaría de Desarrollo Territorial Urbano Sustentable (SEDETUS) directed by Carlos Ríos Castellanos, who will promote projects from sectors such as urban infrastructure, tourism, energy and others that offer opportunities for the investment world.

“This edition of real estate networking will be to promote and broaden the horizons and business visions of local and foreign entrepreneurs to attract more investments that consolidate the state as the most important economy in the country,” he said.

The Secretary of Sustainable Urban Development also noted that the convention is a unique event being hosted by AMPI with the vision of seeing the Mexican Caribbean as a spearhead for foreign investment with Cancun as a business epicenter.
