Cancun, Q,R. — An American man is to remain in a Cancun jail after being arrested for entering the country with a firearm. On Tuesday, American Ellijah “Q” was taken into custody after airport authorities found a gun in his luggage.
According to the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) of Quintana Roo, on September 20, federal officials in Terminal 3 of Cancun International located a 9 mm caliber pistol inside his suitcase, with a magazine supplied with 12 cartridges.
Ellijah “Q” has already been presented before a Cancun judge who ordered him to remain in preventative detention until his next scheduled court date, which is in two weeks.
