Cancun, Q.R. — An American man who was detained after his girlfriend was found deceased has been released. Cancun police have released 21-year-old Robert “A” after being detained for questioning in her death.
On January 6, 20-year-old Leah “P” was found laying on a sidewalk below their vacation rental apartment. She was pronounced on scene by paramedics. Robert “A” was detained by Cancun police from the accident site.
Their investigation determined the death of Leah “P” as accidental. According to Robert “A”, the couple forgot the key to their rental unit. In attempting to get in through the patio doors, Leah “P” slipped and fell from the building’s third floor balcony.
