Ambulance driver reverses into Cancun hospital emergency room after dropping off patient

Cancun, Q.R. — A paramedic dropping off a car accident patient at a Cancun hospital accidently drove through the front doors. After dropping off the patient at the Dr. Jesús Kumate Rodríguez Hospital, the ambulance driver ended up demolishing the emergency room entrance.

Driver of CMR unit 02 arrived at the hospital Monday afternoon to drop off an injured man who had been in a car accident. Upon leaving the hospital, the rear of the ambulance ended up in the emergcy room.

Two of the hospital’s glass access doors were shattered from the accidental reverse. No one was hurt in the mishap, only material damaged of the two knocked-out doors.

Authorities have not commented on just how the ambulance driver ended up reversing into the hospital emergency room. Some local media have reported a mechanical failure while others say it was a mix-up between the gas and brake.
