Cancun, Q.R. — Water company Aguakan carried out emergency work Wednesday afternoon to attend to the rupture of the pipeline in the Cancun Hotel Zone before the arrival of Hurricane Grace.
In a statement, it was reported that a 12-inch wastewater network line at kilometer 12.8 of Kukulkan Avenue broke, and that brigades arrived to make the necessary repair.
A lane was partially shut while workers tended to the broken line, since an excavation of 3 x 6 meters was required to make the repair.
In the statement, Aguakan explained that due to the complexity of the repair, traffic was affected along that section of roadway until 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.
