Cancun, Q.R. — An agua potable truck caused an accident Monday afternoon when the driver slammed into a private car in the Cancun Hotel Zone. News of the hit had police responding after a third vehicle, a parked taxi, also became involved after being hit by the car.
The carom happened in front of a commercial plaza in Punta Cancun in the hotel zone at 6:27 p.m. along Boulevard Kukulcán.
In the preliminary report, it was specified that there were no injured and that the vehicles involved were an agua potable water truck, a private vehicle and a Cancun taxi. In the traffic report, the officer specified that the water truck was circulating on Boulevard Kukulkán from south to north and, from lack of a safe distance, collided with the private car, which then collided with a parked taxi.
All three vehicles were severely damaged in the accident. On social media, Municipal Transit Directorate reported “A road event at kilometer 9.5 of Kukucán Boulevard, drive with caution when circulating in the area.” An estimate on damages was not provided.
