Cancun, Q.R. — A body was found packed inside a suitcase in a state of decomposition in the La Joya subdivision of Cancun Saturday. The finding was reported around 11 a.m. by a passerby who initially noticed the suitcase attracting a mass of flies.
The red suitcase was found abandoned on a dirt road with human parts sticking out each end. Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit (SMSCyT) officials were accompanied to the scene by National Guard and Military Police.
Police have not said if the body inside was that of a male or female, nor have they provided any details surrounding the discovery.
