Cancun, Q.R. — A two vehicle accident in Cancun has left at least seven with injuries after an SUV rear-ended a city passenger combi.
The accident happened Tuesday morning at 8:30 on Morocoy Street in Supermanzana 520 when an SUV collided with the back of a collective transport unit. The private vehicle was driven by 24-year-old Rodrigo Alonso P.T. who hit the combi after failing to keep a safe distance.
The seven injured people, Raquel, Miguel Ángel, Manuel, José, Laura, Thiago and Etán, were assisted by paramedics who made their transfers to a private hospital.
The SUV suffered severe damage to the front due to the magnitude of the impact, while the collective transport unit, driven by 28-year-old Joshua de Jesus, received minor injuries to the back end.
