Cancun, Q.R. — A 14 year old minor was one of two arrested in Cancun Wednesday after an exchange of gunfire with police. Cancun officers were shot at when they arrived in SM 308 after responding to the report of theft.
Cancun police responding to the 1:00 p.m. report of theft from a school were left to chase the two suspects on foot. The pair were seen attempting to make a getaway on two nearby motorcycles. During the foot chase, one of them took a shot at the pursuing officers.
Additional police were requested after a Red Code was activated. The additional officers were successful in apprehending the two males. Taken into police custody was 24-year-old Jonatan “N” and a14 year old minor, who is alleged to have fired at police.
