Tulum, Q.R. — A young man was taken to Tulum hospital Wednesday night after his food kiosk caught fire. Tulum Civil Protection reported an LP gas leak was to blame for the fire that left the 16 year old with second and third degree burns.

Young Luis “P” was treated for burns on his left hand and right arm after his food stand caught fire. Tulum firemen were successful in putting the fire out before it spread to other nearby kiosks. Civil Protection paramedics attended to the young man’s burns.
The fire happened on Sol Street next to the Dos Aguas park. He was one of several nighttime food kiosks setting up for the evening when the fire happened. A leaking LP gas tank has been blamed for the fire. His food kiosk was completely destroyed.
