Tulum, Q.R. — A woman who was behind the wheel of her car was seriously injured when she crashed into a three-ton truck at the north exit of Tulum.
The accident, which happened along the Tulum-Playa del Carmen highway, was reported to emergency personnel around 10:00 p.m. Friday after her blue Nissan became embedded in the rear of the heavy unit.
The woman required assistance from firemen who used the jaws of life to free her from the twisted wreckage. She was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
