Witnesses report men shooting at central Tulum bar

Tulum, Q.R. — Police were at the scene of a central bar shooting in Tulum Friday night. Elements from the Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection (SSC) arrived at the Tulum Avenue establishment shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Nine millimeter shell casings were collected from the scene. According to early information, police responded to reports of shots fired near an area between Tulum Avenue and Centauro Street in central Tulum around 9:15 p.m.

Witnesses reported seeing two people inside a white vehicle stop. One person got out and fired at the outside of a building before the vehicle fled the area.

Investigative Police and forensic services were requested to collect evidence. Local authorities have not commented on the Friday night shooting.
