Tulum, Q.R. — A fire in a former military camp of Pino Suárez left only material damage to the premises. The camp, located approximately 20 kilometers from the town of Tulum, started in a military warehouse Friday morning.
Firemen were sent to the site around 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke. There, they found the building in flames. An electrical wiring issue is being blamed for the fire that left the military warehouse and some offices in ruins.
Civil Protection and elements of National Defense were also at the scene, staying until 11:30 a.m. when the fire was officially declared out. There were no injuries reported during the morning blaze.
