Two Tulum teens charged with attempted homicide

Tulum, Q.R. — Two barley-legal teens have been charged with attempted homicide in Tulum. The pair were picked up by police at the end of April on drug possession charges.

After being arrested, authorities announced the pair were being investigated for the attempted homicide of a Tulum man. On Monday, both teens were officially charged.

Ángel Raúl “N” and Víctor Manuel “N” were initally charged with drug possession for the purpose of supplying. During their Monday hearing, additional charges of attempted homicide were also laid.

The two men were arrested April 29 while police were conducting an investigation in the irregular neighborhood of 2 de Octubre in Tulum. Investigative Police were carrying out inquiries for an attempted homicide when they noticed Víctor Manuel “N” and Ángel Raúl “N” on a dirt road.

“Initial investigations link the suspects to being members of a criminal group, perpetrating violence and dedicated to the sale and distribution of narcotics in the municipality of Tulum,” authorities said.

Police have not provided details on the attempted homicide.
