Tulum, Q. R. — Two men were murdered in Tulum on Sunday in separate incidences, however, both are believed to be gang-related deaths. On Sunday morning, residents of Kukulkan reported hearing numerous gun shots.
Police responded to the report to find a deceased male on Kukulkan Avenue. Nearly a dozen 9mm bullet casings were reportedly collected from the scene.
On Sunday evening, a second man was reported shot to death and left laying on a residential sidewalk in Maya. Residents reported the 9:00 p.m. shooting to police who confirmed the death and began a search operation.
Arrests specific to these two deaths have not been announced.
