Two rushed to PDC hospital after being shot outside Tulum bar

Tulum, Q.R. — Municipal Police and National Guard were at the scene of a shooting that took place along Tulum Avenue early Thursday. Gunmen from inside a grey car reportedly opened fire against the centrally located bar, injuring two.

The two people transferred to hospital were reported to be bar security. They were monitoring the outside parameter when they were shot.

Police were notified of the shooting after receiving several reports of gunfire. More than a dozen shots were said fired against the Tulum night club. Police began a search for the gunmen. It is not known if arrests were made.

Both injured employees were rushed to Playa del Carmen hospital. One is reported to be in critical condition. This same night club was searched and seized by police several weeks ago, but reopened.
