Tulum, Q.R. — State authorities have shut Cabañas Malix in Tulum for failing to comply with the current coronavirus restrictions in place by governments. Officials from the Secretaría de Finanzas y Planeación (Sefiplan) inspected the hotel and found the sale of alcohol and tourists on the beach.
Representatives of the state proceeded to place closure stamps on the hotel for failing to abide by the alcohol restrictions as well as the current beach closures.
State officials also shut Moon Tulum for hosting a party and also failing to comply with the current in-place coronavirus restrictions. The establishment was visited by the Policía Quintana Roo and then shut by officials from Selfiplan, Protección Civil and municipal health.
Both establishments will be fined for the failure to comply. This is the fourth establishment in Tulum to be shut by authorities for failing to comply with the current coronavirus restrictions.
