Tulum, Q.R. — At least two people were killed in an armed attack in Tulum Wednesday night that sent several others to hospital. The first deceased, a woman, was killed after being shot on the street of a residential neighborhood.
Police were made aware of the shooting around 8:30 p.m. near Satelite Sur Avenue, arriving to find five injured people, one of whom died on scene. Area residents called police after hearing gun fire.
The four that were injured by gun fire were taken to Playa del Carmen hospital where one other person is reported to have died after being admitted.
Tulum officials have not made a public statement regarding the town’s recent shootings.
