Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two subjects who had just robbed an OXXO convenience store were intercepted and arrested by elements of the Municipal Police during the early morning hours.
It was around 2:40 a.m. when two subjects arrived aboard a car and entered the convenience store located in Arco Vial near Centro Maya. The pair locked the OXXO employees in a bathroom while they robbed the store’s cash drawer.
The pair made it outside to their car, but were intercepted by police before even leaving the parking lot.
Police reported arresting the pair who were found with 1,800 peso in cash. They were made available to authorities.
