Tulum, Q.R. — Two Americans have been jailed after Tulum authorities found them in possession of numerous weapons. On Sunday, the General Directorate of Public Security of Tulum reported the arrest of Devan N and Natali N of US nationality.

The pair were taken into custody Saturday after being found in possession of numerous high-caliber firearms, ammunition, a surveillance camera sensor and other weapons.

The pair were located along the federal highway driving a black Jeep Compass with Guerrero license plates. A search of the vehicle they were driving revealed two 9-millimeter caliber Glock squad-type pistols as well as a 22-caliber rifle.

They were also found in possession of a U.S. passport in the name of another person that was not traveling with them. Both Devan N and Natalie N were arrested in Tulum and transferred to Cancun.
