Tulum’s first shopping mall ‘represents growth, vision and dynamism’

Tulum, Q.R. — A mall with 60 retail spaces is underway to become Tulum’s first shopping centre. On Monday, Tulum Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo toured the site of what will be the city’s first shopping center Centro Tulum.

Centro Tulum is a project that reflects the growth, vision and dynamism that characterize the municipality, solidifying its position as a reliable destination for private investment, he said.

During the visit, the mayor emphasized that the Municipal Government continues working to create the necessary conditions to facilitate private investment, boosting economic development and positioning Tulum as a cutting-edge city with greater opportunities for everyone.

“Today we are here at what will be our city’s first shopping center, Centro Tulum, a space that represents the growth, vision, and dynamism that our municipality is experiencing,” he said after the Monday tour.

He said the real estate development will be a key meeting point for both residents and visitors, integrating shops, services, restaurants and spaces in a modern and functional environment.

“It not only represents investment, but also boosts job creation and opens new opportunities for Tulum families,” he said adding the mall will create around 900 local jobs.

According to Castañón Trejo, the mall will offer 60 retail spaces and create approximately 900 direct and indirect jobs and strengthening the local economy.

Some of the confirmed companies that will operate in the mall are Cinépolis, Chedraui, Smart Fit, Starbucks, Toks, Domino’s, Promoda and Coppel, guaranteeing a diverse and high-quality offering for residents and tourists.
Castañón Trejo said these types of investments are a clear demonstration of confidence in Tulum’s present and future.

“We continue building a city with more services, greater economic prosperity and a better quality of life for everyone. When development is done with vision, Tulum moves forward.”
