Tulum, Q.R. — Tulum’s Coba Avenue is undergoing a major revamp. On Friday, Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo toured the ongoing project. He says the modernization of the main Avenue will not only improve the town’s image, but also transform traffic and pedestrian flows.
“Today we supervise the work of one of the projects that residents often asked of us, which was for Coba Avenue. Here the people of Tulum, the tourists, will be able to enjoy it when it is complete,” Castañón before the media Friday.
The director of Public Works Monitoring, Santos Hipólito Tuz Chi, reported that the project has made significant progress and should be finished at the end of November before the official start of high tourism season.
He explained that the revamped Avenue will include a bicycle lane, a pedestrian walkway, adding that the road will be paved to El Jaguar Park.
