Tulum, Q.R. — Paramedics treated a tourist in the Jaguar Park of Tulum Saturday after he stepped on a motor propeller. The propeller was partially buried in sand and cut the heel of his foot as he passed over it.

On-duty lifeguards were first on scene to help disinfect the cut and control the bleeding. The accident happened around 4:30 Saturday afternoon when he was walking with a group. Jan “R” is on vacation in Tulum with his family from the Czech Republic.
Civil Protection lifeguards reported the man suffered a serious laceration on his left heel caused by a motor propeller on the beach. The incident happened inside the Jaguar Park of Tulum. An ambulance transferred him to a Playa del Carmen hospital for medical treatment.
